About

Hi, I’m Happy. Here’s the part where I’m supposed to tell you about myself, which is awkward but, you know, necessary.

I have a thing for words that do something. Words that pull their weight and break a sweat.

You know the kind: words with texture, honesty, a point of view, maybe a little bite. The stuff that lingers after you’ve closed the tab. Polished-but-empty writing? Hard pass. Work should earn its place, not fill space because someone decided we needed more content.

Officially, I’m a writer and strategist (the “creative person” label tends to attach itself regardless), which means I spend considerable time wrestling with ideas until they click. I look for the angle that works, not the one that sounds good in a brainstorm doc.

Content, messaging, brand voice: the goal is writing real enough to stick. Not another LinkedIn post that dissolves into the algorithmic soup five minutes after you hit publish.

Maybe that’s how my brain is wired, or maybe it’s from years of being stubborn about noticing the small details everyone else scrolls past. (A bizarre thing to be stubborn about, but here we are.)

I’m a mother to a small human and a Siberian husky. I’m happiest outside with a camera, chasing light that makes you stop and stare and question your life choices. Indoors: reading fiction, fussing over houseplants, and attempting the dark art of plant propagation. (Success rate: mixed, at best.)

If I sound like your kind of person, here’s my calendar. Book a call and let’s see if we can make sense of something together, or at least have a good rant about it.

Tech Stack

My content stack is a slightly chaotic mix of writing, SEO, analytics, publishing, AI, and automation tools—basically whatever helps me drag an idea from the depths of Notion purgatory into something that exists in the world and, ideally, doesn’t make me cringe. I use these tools to research smarter, write with a bit more bite, publish before I lose interest, and then obsessively track what’s working (or not) so I can keep poking at it long after it’s live. The goal: less generic slop, more actual taste.

Most commonly, I use the following stack:

Career

Currently: Content Marketing Manager at ClearFeed, which is just a fancy way of saying I’m the whole content team, the strategy committee, and sometimes the unofficial Slack therapist, all at once. ClearFeed builds AI-ish support tools for Slack, and somehow, content has become our main source of inbound leads (trust me, I’m just as baffled).

Before this, I spent four years in the AdTech trenches, writing about programmatic advertising and header bidding because apparently i have a thing for topics that make most people’s eyes glaze over. If you want the full saga, LinkedIn’s got the receipts.

2023-Now

Content Marketing Manager at ClearFeed

Joined as the lone content human and promptly set about building the content engine from scratch. Took ownership of SEO, blogs, AI search visibility, Reddit, refreshes, reporting, and, of course, product-led content—aka the good stuff. Somewhere along the way, content became one of ClearFeed’s biggest inbound channels. Not bad for a team of one.

2021-2023

Content Marketing Manager at Automatad

Graduated from writing content to herding it. Suddenly, I was in charge of SEO strategy, editorial planning, content workflows, performance tracking, inbound lead generation, and, yes, a small but mighty team. My days became a blur of blogs, case studies, newsletters, landing pages, social posts, and demand campaigns—basically, if it had words, I was probably poking at it.

2019-2020

Technical Content Writer at Automatad

This was my first dive into content, and, in the spirit of full disclosure, I had no idea what I was doing. But I was committed to figuring it out the slow, slightly masochistic way, because probably I enjoy pain. Most days were spent wrestling with AdTech jargon (header bidding, ad fraud, all the usual suspects) and trying to translate it into something a non-robot could use. The routine: write, edit, publish, promote, mainline caffeine, repeat. Somehow this worked, and I ended up as Marketing Guru of the Year before I'd figured out where half the Slack channels lived. Dream or delusion? You decide.
